Song Description
Singer asks for a reply when faced with silence on the other end of a telephone conversation and expresses frustration and concern. Origianlly that was it...but the spoken part added later elaborates to the possible discussion, a break up, which would make the person on the other side of the line rendered silent. The spoken part is the other persons reponse, A plea to remain together or face the consequence of never seeing or hearing from her again.

Lyrics
V1: Killing me with every silent breath.
Inching every second to my death.
CH1: Please! Please! Please!
An answer would be nice.
Please! Please! Please!
?Yes? or ?No? will suffice.
V2: Maybe I should take this as a sign.
Maybe you?re no longer on the line.
Ch2: Please! Please! Please!
No need to be so shy.
Please! Please! Please!
This is my last reply.
Spoken: And from now on the silence will deafen you.
And from now on a hunger for my voice.
The search to replace our dialogue begins,
As the face at which you gazed slowly fades.
Imagine giving up the words, the meaning.
And choosing to sever all the ties that we have built.
No good can come of this, for either of us.
Don't leave it all behind,
Or who will know what you have learned.
